Options Process

Choosing which options to study in Key Stage 4 is one of the biggest decisions students will make at school, but we are here to help them make the right choices for them. Over the past three years, we have increased our KS4 offer considerably to ensure that we have subjects that appeal to each individual student that will be purposeful and relevant to their future pathways.

We fully support our pupils through the options process. They receive a series of assemblies, from subject specialists, as well as guidance from the pastoral team. In the Spring term, there is a Parent's and Carer's Evening to support the decision-making process.

The options available are:

GCSE: Art, Food preparation and Nutrition, Textiles, Business Studies, Computer Science, Dance, Drama, PE, French, Geography, History, RE, Photography, Spanish, Ancient History, 3D Design, Sociology, Graphics

BTEC: Music, Performing Arts, Sports Studies, Travel and Tourism, Child Development, Health & Social Carer

Our Options process starts in the Spring Term of Year 9. All students have four option choices. These choices will depend on their pathway.
